Like the sign says, "if it's too loud, go to Starbucks!" The Equator is a great late night alternative if alcohol is not your beverage of choice. Quite a variety of live music on the weekends and occasionally during the week- I've heard folk, jazz, and ska, all better than you'd expect for what you pay. The coffee is pretty good, better than most. They also offer pastries, bubble tea (milky tea with big tapioca balls- the latest LA fad), and, for the really daring, hookahs with flavored tobacco. The couches and deep chairs will remind you of your favorite sitcom, only, you know, louder. It can be a bit hard to find- just dip into the alley next to Jake's on the south side of Colorado.
