A massive floor to ceiling rock fireplace dominates the lobby bar surounded by low couches and overstuffed chairs with coffee tables. Try the Canadian icewines, indigenous to this area. Very sweet, dessert style wines, they are harvested at precisely the perfect tempatures, in winter, to produce a grape that is bursting with flavor. Like most ski locations, there are always the hot buttered rums, Baileys and coffee-type drinks to take the chill off. A great place to people watch, or take in the skiers on the gondolas visible from the floor to ceiling glass walls that overlook the snow-capped mountains of Whistler/Blackcomb.
