I have been a long time patron of Buddy's Bar, and I have never found it to be rude or impolite. I have many friends there, and go for karaoke often during the week from Saturday until Tuesday from 7pm to 12:30am with two very good karaoke hosts. But in order to meet them you will just have to show up for yourself. Even though that I am straight, it doesn't mean that I can't have fun with my gay friends. You can still get all the alcohol that you want for a lot less than what you would pay at a regular bar. If you go on a Tuesday or a Saturday, the DJ there is the best that they have, you can request any song that you want as long as he has it in his collection—all you have to do is ask. So don't be afraid to try it out for yourselves.

Buddy's Pub, a gay clientele bar in the basement, has a dance area playing slower beat music that's danceable as opposed to techno. There's a self coat check with a security guy at the entrance. Somewhat smoky. Floors very dirty.
