This basement club, established in 1952, is one of the most famous and atmospheric jazz clubs in Germany. Its reputation is as solid as the 200-year-old redbrick walls that surround it. The place has played host to such jazz luminaries as Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, and Gerry Mulligan. Wednesday and Friday, patrons dance to the club's "Cool Music Mix." Thursday and Saturday, live music is presented. Open Tuesday to Sunday 9pm to 3am.
