There's a vibe at the Hollywood Club, located in Old Town, where the Estonian cool kids, adults who refuse to grow up, and tourists hang their hots in search of a potent blend of vintage 1970s disco, throbbing trance, and soul standards sung in Eesti (Donna Summer's "Bad Girls" sung in Estonian was quite a treat!). While lights range on the massive dance floor and kids and adults look down from the balconies above, the drinks are flowing freely and the music is pumping. The vibe is, for lack of a better word, electric, and it's not uncommon to hear Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, German, and English spoken as bodies groove to the music. For those with no inhibitions, there is even a pair of platforms amid the dance floor on which to strut your stuff. This club is infectious and a clear example of a people liberated, crazy, young, insane, and enjoying the nightlife because they, as do you and I, like to boogie!
