Saigon Saigon, which is located at the top floor of the ultra-luxury Caravelle Hotel, has arguably one of the best 'live' bands in town. The ambience here is elegant yet relaxed. This place seem more popular among visitors on business trips and expats living in Saigon. We hardly saw any backpacker type of tourists, although it was not expensive at all. Drinks are $5-10 each, which is quite reasonable for the kind of service, ambience and performance one gets in Saigon Saigon.
The band performs requests from the floor, and they did a pretty good job singing my "American Pie".
The night panorama of Saigon from the club's balcony was spectacular. We could see the Opera House, Rex Hotel, Continental Hotel, and the Reunification Palace coming to life with illumination.
