Description
One of the last buildings in the area not to have been completely restored, the Acud possesses a real sense of history. A lonesome building standing on a plot of land which was almost completely reduced to rubble during the War, the home of the Acud Society houses a cinema, gallery, pub and the 'Lizard Lounge' dance club. The cinema concentrates on highbrow films for people with no interest in the latest Hollywood trash. Unsurprisingly, the centre is frequented by culture-vultures, especially students. Admission costs EUR2.50-EUR5.
