Mojo At Jillian's

A good nightclub will take you away from the everyday drones of your life to a place where you can relax and let your guard down. Mojo is just that. Its format is unlike any other club in the Raleigh area. In fact, it’s more like something you’d expect to see in Miami or the Caribbean. On the weekends, Mojo has your traditional DJ spinning hip-hop and club music. Accompanying the DJ are two percussionists who use their drums and bongos to enhance the beat of the DJ’s tunes. The result is an enticing rhythm that beckons you to the dance floor.

The décor adds to this carefree, sophisticated atmosphere. There are huge comfy couches where you can curl up and relax with friends and some good conversation and long flowing draperies that calm the room. The bartenders were the only objects that really seemed out of place. Their uniforms (at the time of my visit) were glow-in-the-dark beachwear.

Drink prices are reasonable (about $5 for a mixed drink), and cover is typically included in your admission to Jillian’s.
