At 3:30 every summer afternoon you will find everyone in town congregating by the pool and deck at the Boatslip Beach Club. This tea dance is enormously popular and cruisy, though most folks show up in large groups of friends and it can be intimidating to make initial contact with the handsome stranger across the dance floor. You can enjoy the outdoor patio area and soak up the warm afternoon sun or retreat to the cooler dance floor area flanked by two bars. Drinks are only slightly more expensive than you would expect to pay at other local establishments, and the cover charge seems reasonable when you see the huge crowds that the tea dance attracts each day.
