Dating all the way back to 1798, the Atlantic House ought to be a gay destination simply for its colorful history housing boarders such as Tennessee Williams. But today the Atlantic House, or A-House, is known as the most popular and frequented gay bar in town. There is a large dance floor on the lower level which spills out to a patio in the back. Upstairs is a seperate bar that seems to attract an older clientele. The place is very cruisy and sexual, especially as the night wears on. If you are uncertain as to where to head out in the evening, start your search at the Atlantic House. You may very well soon be heading back home with a new friend.
