Burns Court is Sarasota's destination for international, off-beat, and independent movies. If it's a movie like 'Sideways', 'The Full Monty', or anything foreign, Burns Court is the place it's probably debuting.
Burns Court is a little off-the-beaten-path (a block south of Orange, just south of downtown. The area is also home to several good little restaurants and wonderful shops, making a movie only part of your visit to the area.
Available in the theater is a rare treat: beer and wine, as well as a little more food than most theaters.
Also be sure to check the schedule, as there is often a film festival going on. The CineWorld International Film Festival is the primary attraction among these every November.
