I went to the Viking Lounge on a Wednesday night last week and discovered a huge crowd dancing in the back bar. There was an incredible DJ and tons of locals hanging out having a good time.

The front of the bar is where it seems like old timers hang out but the back is where all the young people flock to meet and dance the night away! It's set up like a real dance club with a cool room to hang out and sit on sweet leather couches and even poles for people to dance on. It's more funny than trashy though.

I would recommended it to anyone looking for a real club experience in Juneau that wants to dance and have a good time.

The Viking is a popular bar spot with the locals. It's smoky, loud, unpleasant music people congregate and dance to. Gets crowded on weekends. Large sections inside, including a pool area, TV area, lounge area, karaoke, second floor, martinis not any good, quality of red wine varies.
