Billy Bob's Texas is the epitome of country western; boots and hat not require, but definitely encouraged. Smack dab in the middle of cowtown (Fort Worth, Texas), Billy Bob's is the world's largest honky tonk (that's country bar for you city folks). The honky tonk is the anchor of the Fort Worth Stockyards and kind of resembles the likes of a western casino - western barn style, lights and music. Every night, Billy Bob's features live bull riding, but be sure to get there early, around 8pm or so to check it out. Popular regional and national country and rock artists grace the main stage on Friday and Saturday nights. The more popluar the band, the more likely a sell out, so be sure to order your tickets online at the Billy Bob's Web site. Likewise, the more full it gets, the more difficult it is to get a drink at the bar. Though Billy Bob's has plenty of bars, they are often overcrowded and understaffed. On a positive note, Billy Bob's features country and western dancing lessons for those who want to brush up on their skills or try in for the first time. There's food, plenty of seating and entertainment. If you're visiting the Dallas/Fort Worth area, then the Fort Worth Stockyards and Billy Bob's Texas are a must see.

What is there not to like about BBs? Maybe you don't like country music, its ok if you don't like country. Billy Bob's also features other types of music, pop, rock. They have Hootie and the Blowfish coming soon and I plan to attend.

Ladies, Wednesday night is free!

This is a high energy place that is a lot of fun. I have seen the crowd get a bit rowdy but not out of hand like other local area nightclubs.

Billy Bob's is the World's Largest Honky Tonk. They have live music every night and often have concerts in the large conert pavilion. They also have live bull riding on Friday and Saturday nights. There is a restaurant which features steaks, a video arcade, billiards, and a gift shop, too. You can even have your photo made on a stuffed bucking bull!
