This club makes the claim that it is the "biggest club in Middle Europe." My friends and I referred to it as "The Five Story" club. Each floor is dedicated to a different type of music, with the top floor set up as a lounge rather than a dance club. Whether you like hip-hop, ‘80s, or electronica, Karlovy Lazne is the place to check out. It is also in an extremely scenic location right on the river. I was there just after the major floods of 2002, so the riverfront was slightly depressed, but I can envision it being a very nice place to hang around outside.

The one thing I will say, though, is that Karlovy Lazne is quite touristy. It seems as though everyone and their mom visits this club if they're in Prague. It is the most visible and biggest club in Prague. Oh yeah, it is also really funny to see Euro's dressed up in "hip-hop" clothing. I saw more kids in full NBA uniforms with headbands and the like than I've seen anywhere else.

Lastly, the last time I was at the club, I remember women in skin-tight red outfits handing out free cigarettes. This is Europe, but still it was a shocker to me. I'm from California, where smoking isn’t allowed anywhere!

Karlovy Lazne has a really good location right by Charles Bridge. It’s touted as the "biggest club in Central Europe." I’m not so sure about it being the biggest, but it did have about five floors with lots of hidden nooks and crannies. In our low 30s, we were probably the oldest group in the club. But we love clubbing and go often, so we didn't care and had a great time. Each floor has a different theme and music. The decor inside resembled a factory or mill with exposed pipes and a warehouse feel.

Depending on the night you are there, I think the music changes, but on the whole, there were a couple floors of dance/trance and one more with pop music. There was a middle floor with oldies playing (actually, the crowd on this floor was a little older). Then the top floor had a DJ spinning Ambient tunes and lots of bean bags and couches. Very chill. The drink prices were pretty cheap, with beer just being $1 a glass. The crowd was fun, with a good mix of locals (students) and tourists.

I have been to clubs over the world, and though certainly not in the same category as those in New York or Ibiza, this was a fun and enjoyable night on the town.

KL is "the largest club in middle Europe". It has 5 floors with differnt music on each level. Outside each dance floor is a bar and a sitting area. The music is loud and fresh and both locals and tourists go there.
