David Copperfield's- Grand Ilusion

INTRODUCTION:
David Copperfield has always fascinated me when I was a little kid and even now, as an adult. The things he can do are beyond amazing. His work and talent is truly imaginable. When I found out he was going to appear at the MGM Grand during the week we were going to be there, naturally, I just had to see his mind-blowing performances for myself.

RESERVATIONS AND TICKETS:

  • Two weeks prior to our Las Vegas trip, I’ve decided to book our reservations online at MGM Grand's Website- just to be safe. It’s a good thing we did this, because his shows were mostly sold out, if not all of them. Don’t let the price overwhelm you; it is a bit steep.

  • PRICES:
  • All tickets were $97 pp -- regardless of where you sit at. If you purchase your tickets online, you can even view the seating chart to get an idea of where your seats are.

  • This price includes the tax and handling fee.

  • Drinks and tips are NOT included.
  • THEATER AND SEAT ASSIGNMENTS:

  • Our show was going to be held at the MGM Grand Hotel/Casino’s Hollywood Theatre. Unbeknownst to us, we had thought we picked out some pretty good seats, which is: Section 1A, Row 12E, Seat 1 & 2. Should you come across these seats, words of advice -- don’t get them. We were seated at a oblong table that seated six people (three people on each side). There was simply not enough room for enjoyment. You felt cramped. You were also facing the stage sideways, instead of head on. Not the very best of seats, if you ask me.A little advice: Call the Hotel and inquire more about the types of seats you are getting.
  • DAVID COPPERFIELD'S GRAND ILLUSION:

  • Our show lasted almost two hours. And what a magical experience it was!! I don’t want to spoil your moments for you, so I won’t go into details about the show itself. I will say this: Unfortunately, you are NOT allowed to take any pictures or use a video camera for the performance. It is to protect the performer’s privacy. Sadly to say, we do not have any pictures of our most treasured moments during our Las Vegas trip. Nevertheless, we did get a beautiful, yet expensive souvenir!! We bought a drink for $12.50 and you get to keep the glass it comes in as a souvenir. Well, worth it.
  • CLOSING:

  • Overall, we had a sensational time seeing David Copperfield and his wonderful Illusions. By the time the show ends, I guarantee you will be scratching your heads in amazement trying to figure out just exactly how he was able to do all of these astonishing things right before your own eyes. I will also say, you probably won’t figure it out, but at least, you will be leaving the show with smiles on your faces and memories that will last a lifetime.
