Description: There are people who can do impersonations, but Danny Gans is remarkable. I love going to a show like his because I can feel as if I have seen dozens of my favorite performers in one night. Quite frankly, I had never heard of Danny Gans before we came to Vegas. That is why all the billing of singer of the year, comedian of the year, and show of the year seemed strange to me and like a commercial build-up for an act.
Anyone can say they are wonderful, but he actually delivers. My husband loved his act and was amazed by his ability to sound like so many people. His selection of songs and comedy were wonderful. The only fault I found with the performance was that we had good seats near the stage and, unfortunately, near the speakers, too. I found myself holding my hands over my ears when the music was really loud. My husband did not seem to be bothered by that.
I enjoyed the music so much that I purchased a Danny Gans CD on which he sings his own songs in his own voice. It is an interesting CD, and I enjoyed it. My husband preferred the performance we saw on stage with Gans' incredible ability to sound like others, singing songs that are familiar to us. I tend to agree but am glad to have a different perspective with the selections on the CD. Even Gans made a joke about how much the show costs, but the theater was filled the night we were there. It is a very good show, filled with energy.
