Tangerine Nightclub at Treasure Island

Tangerine seems like the place to go on Thursday nights in Las Vegas. The line to get in stretched all through the casino by 11pm. I had a card that got me in with no cover charge, but the price of the drinks made up for it. They charged $11 for a small rum and diet Coke! The place was packed so tightly that there was no place to move and it took me 30 minutes to make it to the bar and get a drink. I ended up only staying for about an hour and then left to gamble and get free drinks. Overall, I thought it was overcrowded, overpriced, and I wouldn't return.

Tangerine Nightclub

"Tangerine" nightclub is located inside the Treasure Island hotel/casino. The first thing you'll notice, are the cool colors and lighting. A vibrant orange color accents the entire place. Outside on the deck, you'll notice more of the orange and pink lighting and hues that reflect off of the water/lagoon. I'm sure if you get there early enough, you can get a seat at the bar on the outside deck, but my boyfriend and I got there around 11pm and it was packed outside. We wanted to see the Pirate show, but there were so many people standing in our way that we couldn't see a thing. (My advice is to get there early, and sit as close to the water as possible). We went back inside the club to find a burlesque show about to start. There is a little stage right behind the bar, and that is where the girls dance. Since we were staying at Treasure Island, we didn't have to pay a cover, and we skipped straight to the front of the line.

This nightclub has a view of the Sirens and Pirates Show from the outside patio area. We went early on their opening night, so it was not crowded. The club opened at 4:30pm, and since we arrived before 9pm, we were not charged the cover.

The colors/lighting were cool. We are in our 30s, and the music was a good mix for us. It's a small club, so I recommend getting there early for a seat outside for the view of the Siren/Pirate show, which happens at 5:30, 7, 8:30, and 10pm.

If anyone goes and finds that anything I've mentioned has changed (hours, music, crowd, etc.), please let me know!

We opted for VIP bottle service so that we could have an area to sit and rest our feet when we needed it. You basically purchase your drink of choice by the bottle; we got Absolut at $275, and it includes mixers and a dedicated hostess to tend to you. It is supposed to be a minimum of one bottle for every four people, but we talked them into doing two bottles for our group of 11. If you prefer, regular admission is $20 for guys and $10 for women. We were seated inside, by the dance floor, and it was tons of fun. Tangerine has a great mixed crowd right around the mid-20s and 30s age range. They have an outdoor patio area that is great after working it out on the dance floor. The dance floor gets a little packed, but to me, that's the sign of a happening joint. They play mostly hip-hop/rap and will have a burlesque show with a live band every few hours. They'll also let you get up on the go-go box if you ask nicely!
