Cirque de Soleil

I tried for over three months to get a ticket for this particular show. On a whim, I decided to go directly to the ticket office, hoping to get a single seat for the Wednesday night show. I was extremely lucky that they decided to put on a show for the Tuesday evening. Although it was more than I was willing to spend on a ticket, it was an opportunity of a lifetime sitting in the VIP section, five rows up from the centre stage.

I had seen other Cirque de Soleil shows before and knew that there is a great deal of activity going on all over the stage at the same time and sometimes it's difficult to know what to watch. Pay close attention or you will miss something. The staging is unbelievable. One moment, it's only a platform for performers and the next, it opens up to be a high diving pool. The acts are tremendous and unforgettable. Well worth the price!

This was the most amazing show I have ever seen. The costumes were magnificent. The show begins the moment you walk through the theater doors. I have seen many Cirque du Soleil shows. This was by far the best one.

The Cirque du Soleil has wonderful shows. Currently they have two housed permanently in Vegas (a third will open shortly). Unlike the other Cirque du Soleil shows, "O" is a circus performed in, on, and around water. The performers are dressed in mystical/magical costumes and perform wonderous feats from flying off the top of the of a pendulum swing into a 1.5 million gallon pool of water to the huge sky ship of acrobats. You will stay continually amazed. The show is a 90-minute journey of the imagination.

Fantastically, unbelievable, choreograpic acrobatics/aquabatics. So much stage activity going on at the same time that it is easy to miss some of it. We were in the 9th row, center. I suggest sitting no closer than mid-theatre to get a full panoramic view of the stage.

We've seen four Cirque du Soleil shows in various parts of the country. This one is by far the most unique.

Ticket prices may be a bit high but so is everything in Las Vegas.

This is one of the most hyped shows in Vegas. Everyone told me I "had to see it". I was very glad I listened. It was incredible and well worth the price just like everyone says. The show was very relaxing. It was like doing yoga only in your mind. We actually had the cheap seats with obstructed view. We were all the way to the right and were even up against the wall. These seats were good and I think there isn’t a bad seat in the house. You can’t see a few steps off stage to the left and right. Everyone thought the show was great! Of course it would have been better with a center view but that was about $25 more a ticket. The only reason we got the cheaper ones was because the others were sold out and it was either get those seats or non at all.

After the show everyone was tired. I found some T-shirts from O I wanted to buy which were listed at $19 on the website so I assumed that’s how much they were at the gift shop. Wrong – they wanted them for $45 each! So I didn’t buy anything and ordered them online when I got home. I was able to get two shirts and an ornament for about the price of one t-shirt if I bought it there.
