See a movie (or a live show) in great style!

Check with your resort staff about Teatro de Cancun or have someone at the Public Relations desk call for you to find out about entertainment. Only call yourself if you have excellent Spanish skills. I have some rudimentary skills, but the recorded messages and menu selections went by way too fast for my comprehension, and the person who (finally) answered my call was charming but also spoke too quickly for my limited understanding. On our first few trips to the Cancun, this theatre had spectacular nightly shows with full orchestra, a dance company, and great singers. Then it switched to cinema and it was fun place to go on a rainy day or if you need to get out of the blazing sun for a few hours. There were movies in English and the air-conditioned theatre itself is fantastic. It has an amazing surround sound system and huge leather recliners and WAITERS bring around drinks and snacks. We didn’t go in the evening this time, so I don’t know if there are still live shows, but the movies were fun.
