I arrived here on Tuesday the 3rd of March at 11pm - I danced solid to banging R+B tunes for 2 hours then a band appeared on the upper level and for half an hour belted out a very good cover of some foo fighters and guns and roses (just in time to rest the feet and grab another shot) after this interlude back to the thumping tunes and dancing till 4am.
We went to Bongo's, The city, Escape, Daddyos, etc, etc., some good the city bad but all I wanted to do is go back to the dogs - I did manage to get back there on the Thursday and Friday before coming home - class job......BOOOM

The club is very swanky. It had all types of people there. Since it was right next door to my hotel it was only a hop away. The music was not all that good but the drinks made up for that.

They had good music, but it was too loud. You had to yell the entire time. We left after an hour because it was too loud. I would not go back.

My friends and I wanted to go dancing, and we were approached on the street by some guy offering us a discount to the Bull Dog Cafe. We asked what kind of music they had and he answered, "all kinds". They were more or less correct... which meant that there wasn't much dancing.

We managed to negotiate a deal so that it was $10 cover for people who didn't want drinks and $13 for one drink. Normally, it's something like $20 cover, including two drinks, or $30 for open bar.

There wasn't much of a dance floor since there were lots of tables in the middle of it, and it seemed like people were more interested in getting drunk than dancing anyway. There are three different levels, including a Jacuzzi next to the stage. When we were there, a rock band came on and played songs that were more suited for people in their mid-30s.

My conclusion is that it wasn't such a great place to dance. If you want a place to sit down and watch a rock band, it's not bad, but definitely not a real "club".

The resort got a group of guests together each night and introduced a different nightclub each and every night. They offered a special admission price with an all you can drink offer.

We went to the Bull Dog Cafe. The club was in walking distance from the resort, however there was one-way transportation provided with your special admission. We got there around 11pm and were greeted with a friendly pat down before entering. Once inside there was a big open dance floor and current dance music was pumping through the sound system.

The group had a reserved section and two private waiters to get our drink orders. For me the most impressive part of the evening was the full bottle of Jose Cuervo left on each of the reserved tables. The night started slow, but soon turned into a quagmire of excited single and couples looking for everything that the Cancun nightlife had to offer.

When we finally had enough, the short walk back to the resort was but a blur. We had a great time... boy I wish I was 23 again.
