This pub and restaurant is one of Heidelberg's historic student locations, and the interior is adorned with countless photographs and other memorabilia from days past. (As well as, to complete the college touch, all manner of 'liberated' road and building signs.) Come here for drinks, and sit at the ancient, deeply carved plank tables until your drinking arm gets sore, or enjoy a hearty German meal. Vegetarians, however, take note: Every dish on the menu used to have a face.
