Description
There are not only many photos, records and album cases of Frank Zappa hanging on Zappa's walls, also the rest of the interior is based on a recognisable pop aesthetics. If you come here for the first time, the first thing you'll probably notice is the famous Red Sofa. But there are many things to be seen; the interior is crammed with kitschy stuff, such as the larger-than-life glowing eyes with long lashes, or the rubber chickens, or several Marilyn Monroe plastic dummies - what have you. Rather dim lightning adds to the relaxed atmosphere that suggests longer talks rather than short ones and three beers rather than one. The special vodka and whiskey-nights are noteworthy for the cheap cocktails. And since Zappa is the immediate neighbour of the large Internationale Studentenheim ('International Student Hostel'), there are always some correspondingly international students around.
