The York Arms is well placed within the York city walls and is ideal for taking a break from shopping and sightseeing. This traditionally decorated, friendly pub, serves tea, coffee and cappuccinos all day long, as well as the usual alcoholic beverages. Their quality beers are brewed at Yorkshire's oldest brewery. Home-cooked food is on offer every lunchtime and some evenings. You can enjoy a traditional Sunday lunch between the hours of 12-2.30pm. There will be no loud music to disturb your meal, but they do offer very good sports coverage if you're interested in that kind of thing.
