Funky and friendly, the Xhedos Café offers good coffee served in an unpretentious way, a surprisingly large menu of sandwiches, salads and desserts (all for under $5), plenty of leg room and comfortably stuffed chairs, local art on the walls, and live music nearly every night. Check out the bookcase in the hall leading to the back door. It's a serendipitous collection of books left by patrons, and next to it is a free literature stand that provides a snapshot of Detroit area artists, musicians and causes.
