Description
This is a city-centre pub in close proximity to York's bus and railway station as well as the Odeon Cinema. It is popular amongst locals and tourists alike and is often frequented by those about to sample the famous student pub crawl, better known as the 'Micklegate Run' of pubs.
The interior is a mixture of old and new, and there is a busy, lively atmosphere. The staff are eager to help and overall the service is good. The menu is quite varied and there is a lot of traditional English food available. A rump steak costs about £8 and battered cod costs around £5.
