The interesting thing about the White Star is the contrasts in its offerings. The plush, comfortable lounge chairs, fireplaces, excellent selection of wines and champagnes and proximity to the attached Magnum's Prime Steakhouse might make you think this is a quiet, intimate lounge. But the pounding techno and urban contemporary house music and the eerily lit aquarium (with cool exotic fish inside) inspire a very different, high-strung and urgent vibe. The combination works, if you are in the right mood. A limited menu is available to satisfy those late night food cravings.
