This bar was named after a 'Schlager' pop song from 1956, and remains to this day the 'Weißer Holunder', which is a type of flower. At a glance, this place seems like your average pub on the corner for the locals, but step inside and you'll notice that it's rather special. An old jukebox is choc full of classics from the fifties, and a pool table is there in case you get bored, which is rarely the case. The walls are covered with memorabilia documenting the time after the war in an entertaining and informative way. This place is cult - and is treated by many youngish hipsters who like to stop in with an air of respect. Not only are the people friendly, so are the prices.
