Description

Vålerenga Vertshus was originally built as a bakery and confectioner's shop, which the old black-and-white pictures on the walls bear witness to. The pictures are all of the neighbourhood, and show what Oslo used to be like as a small and peaceful town. Until recently the Vertshus was used as a base by the supporters of Vålerenga football team, but they have moved elsewhere now. Even so, some members of the club still stick to their old 'home field', and when the team plays away matches the pub is packed.

Vålerenga Vertshus serves on type of pizza; it is not a delicacy, but it is cheap and goes well with the beer.
