Three Sisters

Three Sisters is a very fun bar environment. The crowd is very young (19-30) and everyone seemed very eager to make new friends. There is a dance club upstairs and a more laid back bar atmosphere downstairs. Great music, fun people!

It was a lot of fun. Even on a Sunday night it was packed. There is a little dancing but not a ton, but they do play good music. The music is typical pop music ranging from ‘80s Madonna to up-to-date R&B. I was with a group of girls, and we noticed that there were a lot of guys. It was a very fun night. I would recommend this place!

We headed to Edinburgh to spend the weekend there with a group of loud friends and chose a nice youth hostel on Grass Market near Cowgate. The Three Sisters (which had been a buzzword on campus!) was just around the corner, so I couldn't miss the opportunity to check it out. Indeed, its popularity was well-deserved--they played good music at the three different bars. It was also quite amazing to see what a diverse clientele the place had! The age range is pretty wide, but I felt that this was only adding to the good fun! However, there seemed to be something wrong with their air-conditioning... Apart from the fact that the place was fully packed, the heat was progressively rising during the couple of hours that I beared to stay there. But I strongly recommend the club (especially to those of you who enjoy having fun in big hot crowds!). Enjoy!

This is a fabulous place! There are 3 bars in one and a dance floor on top. The first is an American bar, the second, an Irish bar, and the third, a Gothic bar. The dance floor plays popular music, and is jam packed on late weekend nights. The bar staff are slow, but that's common. The atmosphere is fun and vibrant on the weekends, and generally packed with everyone from college kids to business professionals, and there are specials almost every day of the week -- sometimes it's free shots! If you go earlier in the day, their food is not very good, but they're skilled at drinks. There is a big screen and any soccer (don't dare call it that in Edinburgh -- it's football for them) fan can catch a game.

There are three hotels joined together by a massive courtyard. In the summer it's great to sit out in the courtyard, enjoying a few drinks with friends and soaking up the atmosphere. As night falls - head inside and boogie the night away in the night club - great fun.
