Description

This privately run theatre is home to two small companies: the Theater Salz und Pfeffer (Salt and Pepper Theatre) and Tristan's Kompagnons (Tristan's Companion's). The former received a cultural grant from the city in 1986 and dedicates itself to perfoming plays that show the many aspects of life. Tristan's Companions, which was founded in 1986 has performed internationally and aims to bring puppetry to life. A few years ago it won the much coveted Nuremberg Prize for Cultural Development.

Important Information: There is no rigid seating plan and only patrons of a suitable age are admitted.

The two companies are housed at the edge of the old city and perform up to 200 times annually. Their productions range from those suitable for adults to those with exclusively children in mind. Sometimes the four artists that make up the two theatre troups also work on joint ventures.

There are special events during the summer holidays.
