Description
This eatery lives up to its name, having stayed on the scene for 42 years, with the same owner, in the high-turnover restaurant business. Through all that time, it has offered the same cozy and intimate interior, with black-leather banquette seating, juke box, dim lighting and seasoned bartender. The hearty helpings of home-cooked meals haven't changed, either, nor has the friendly conversation.
Convenient to the Shubert Theatre and the Green, the Anchor is a perfect getaway to a less hectic time and an old city tradition.
