Description

Located in the Valentino area, near the Turin Exhibition Centre, this is the main Dance Theatre in Italy. Since 1975, it has been an important place for dance and for the training of young talents with excellent results.

It has been undergoing a radical restoration from since January 1997, sponsored by the Teatro Nuovo Foundation. The theatre, which seats 970, offers a diverse range of shows and events including theatre, dance, cinema, cultural exhibitions and initiatives, congresses and training.Each of these activities has its own space in the complex. It often hosts local companies as well as shows in local dialect. After the fire at the Regio in the 1930's, up until its reconstruction in 1966. the Teatro Nuovo was the only theatre in Turin where prestigious theatrical works and opera were performed.
