Description

Don Manuel Forero entrusted this building to engineer Alfredo Viale, who finished it five years later in 1920. More than a decade later, the classic-style facade was completed, as was the Golden Room on the second floor. This theater has born witness to many historic performances from world-renowned musical personalities, opera companies, theater troupes, dancers, orchestras and first-class soloists.

Unfortunately, on August 2nd, 1998, a blazing fire destroyed the area. Two unforgettable performances were subsequently staged on the theaters ruins. Reconstruction work has since been underway, and a renovated Municipal Theater is expected soon.
