Description
This chic, sleek weekend club venue (formerly known as Sound Republic) in the heart of the West End makes the perfect setting for a music theme restaurant. So, it is a little gimmicky and in a similar league to nearby Planet Hollywood, with a mock rock lounge look (leopard skin seats, dim lighting) and giant video screens blaring out the sounds and sights of present-day pop idols, but this doesn't in any way stop it being hugely popular with out-of-towners, teenagers, industry folk and passers-by. The menu is organised in two columns, East and West. You can have a delectable chicken satay or pad Thai on the one hand, or a monstrous hamburger or fishcake on the other. And, perhaps surprisingly, it's really good...
The bar mixes up a multitude of cocktails, in both alcoholic and fruity varieties, and when the weekend arrives, the venue transforms to get ready for the big club nights like the award-winning funk-filled Carwash.
