Sloppy Joe's

Very touristy and over-rated! It's a nice bar, but very crowded. The drinks were more expensive than at many of the other places. It's still a good idea to stop in for a drink just so you can say that you've been there! Each time I passed by they always had good live music playing. If you prefer a busier and lively bar, then this would be a good place for you.

Sloppy Joe's

Sloppy Joe's (on Duval St.) is probably the most famous bar/restaurant in Key West. You definitely want to stop here on your vacation.

During the day, the restaurant is usually packed with people having lunch, or sitting at the bar having a drink. Sometimes, they'll have live entertainment in the afternoon (it's usually one guy playing his guitar and singing a few tunes). The food is good too. Not the healthiest, but really good! We had "Sloppy Wings" and "Sloppy Fries." The sloppy fries were served with seasoned ground beef and a ton of melted cheeses on top.

At night this place gets really crowded. You can go for dinner, but after 9pm or so, they start moving most of the tables off the floor, so people can dance in front of the stage. There is always a great live band, and a great party vibe.

Two thumbs up! Go here!

My husband and I went here one night and left the little ones with my sister at the resort. What a great night of dancing and drinking! This place is a fun bar with a pub, homey feel and has GREAT live music. We saw the band "Juiced," a mostly female band that rocked all night long. FUN FUN FUN TIME!

Live bands every night, but it can get crowded as evening goes on. During the week, it is ok to bring kids to listen to the band, but as the evening progresses, it gets kind of wild. Weekend bands are definitely adults-only.
