Description
This outstanding concert hall was opened in 1997 and is home to the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra. The large hall, which seats 2,008, houses a 68-stop pipe organ and is used primarily for orchestral concerts. The smaller, 453-seat hall is a traditional shoebox-shaped hall that is used mainly for solo recitals and chamber music concerts. Concerts are held throughout the year and feature some of the top national and international musicians. Light refreshments, including alcoholic drinks, are available before concerts and during the interval.
