String band music is unique to the Caribbean and is based on a combination of cultures. The lively rhythm of the string band, with its traditional instruments (ukulele, banjo, guitars, boom pipe, mouth organ, triangle, 'shak-shak' and bass drum) will set your feet tapping and put you in a party mood. The band sometimes plays on weekends at various bars and restaurants, as well as for special events, and you can also hire the band for your party.
