Getting a seat here can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, but people tend to get to know one another better in such a relaxed, close atmosphere. Considered one of Basel's trendier addresses for several decades, The Rio proves that not all things are subject to ceaseless change. Eating here rarely crosses anybody's mind; drinking a glass of whiskey does plenty. Mirrors adorn the ceiling, not all that popular with balding men, but a nice touch.
