This restaurante is set in a formerly derelict property that has been transformed to house its 'new Chilean cuisine'. The atmosphere and the interiors are key to the success of Puro Chile. High ceilings painted blue and red, bare brick walls and hanging chairs are among the elements that liven up this youthful and relaxed environment. This modern aesthetic, added to good music, make it the perfect place for those who expect more than just good food. It offers seafood, fish and meat prepared in a simple yet sophisticated manner. Some of the restaurant's specialities are Machas a la Parmesana (shellfish with parmesan cheese) at CLP3,200, Ostiones (big oysters) in Coriander Sauce (CLP3,600), River Crab Pie (CLP3,200), Lamb Chops in Port Sauce (CLP4,600) and Beef Fillet in Roquefort Sauce (CLP4,500). For afters, try the White Chocolate Parfait with Raspberry Sauce (CLP1,900). The menu is complemented by an extensive list of new wines.
