The former military compound is now a protected park, and you should check it out. An early morning run here is great, under the shadows of the Golden Gate Bridge, and away from the bustle of the downtown area. It's a little bit away from the main scene, but that's the charm and point of this cutesy and charming historic village.

Presidio Theatre is a 500-seat, stadium-style theater featuring first-run movies on a four-screen theatre in the Marina district, along with an updated sound system inherited from the closed Cinema 21. Its past included being an adult theatre until the 1980s.
