Baby's is where the hip come to be hippest. It's within the Hardrock Casino, which has become known for its hard, young vibe and the celebs that roll through.

Baby's is a multi-leveled, packed-to-the-brim, banging dance club. Make sure you arrive early or you will be stuck in line, or turned away, as they often reach capacity by 1AM. Drinks are brutally expensive inside, so play a few rounds of blackjack and earn yourself a few free cocktails on the house. The VIP Lounge within Baby's is a see and be seen kinda place. Fun to sit in if you like to feel fabulous, but not as much fun as the crowded dance floor. The bar in the middle of the HR Casino is a good backup plan. If you get turned away from Baby's, join the others who did too, and meet and greet!

Aaah...Baby's...the place to see and be seen in Vegas. Getting into Baby's is the hardest part; long lines and bouncers make it a test of your patience (fortunately they don't seem to cop an attitude like in Rumjungle). However, once you get in, it's a pretty fun place. Downstairs is the trance/house music room, which has a large and sticky dance floor. Upstairs is the tiny hip-hop room. Getting a drink can take ages...you have to be quite aggressive at the bar. The music downstairs was not great; it started off well and then the DJ started playing weird cuts and slow tunes, not mixing it up very well. Luckily there's always the other room to go to. Warning - inside can be very, very crowded as well. If you get claustrophobic, don't come here. But if you want to hit the hot spot - then go to Baby's. (tip - greasing the bouncer does work...)

So much has been said about Hard Rock Cafe, Las Vegas that we were all excited about hitting their famed nightclub. We waited in line for approximately 20 minutes (not too long by my standards) before we were admitted to the club. The decor is somewhat of a cross between post modern and "underground" if there were such a thing. Deep dark hues and low lighting encompasses the plush couches and general low-profile atmostphere. The first room, deemed the "hip-hop" room, has a teeny tiny dance floor fit for about 10 people. This isn't your conventional hip-hop either. It's a hip hop groove mixed beyond recognition. The main dance floor is very appealing in its look, but has possibly the worst music I've ever heard. What you'll hear at this joint is what most refer to as "nervous" music. Hyper-techno that is mixed, cut and scratched with poor precision. At one point, I found myself twitching to a remix, I kid you not, of Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech. What is that exactly? As the bride in my 6 girl bachelorette posse, I was ready to dance the night away, not fend off a noise-induced seizure. The one thing we did notice about Baby's that was up to par was the amount of beautiful men and women that were there. It's not like you could interact with them as they seemed to have a very stand-offish, self-important air about them. On our way out of the club, a mere 30 minutes later, we discovered the secret to the beautiful people's disposition - they were prostitutes. Yes, that's right, hookers lined up for the Baby's clientele equipped with their own fashionless pimp.

We may have been a bit stupid, but it took us awhile to find the entrance to Baby's, a popular nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas. The entrance is through two double doors (by the main casino area) which actually leads into their concert area. There, you stand in a queue for a good hour before entering the nightclub.

During actual concerts, I believe the line forms outside of the hotel.

Cover is $20, but whether we were the exception or the norm, women were not charged the cover the night we were there.

You make your way down a flight a stairs to a small lounge area where a small 6-8 oz. bottle of water was $5. Go further in and that's where all the action is. Guest DJs from around the world spin their tunes at Baby's.

Sadly, the DJ we had who was supposedly one of the best was probably one of the worst. He didn't seem to have his act together as what he was mixing could hardly be called dance music.

DJs at Baby's play house, trip-hop, and drum & bass dance music. FYI.

As always, with a popular hangout, there seemed to more people than fire safety regulations allowed and do not be surprised to see ladies of the night and their respective johns working the joint.

This was not a place I would frequent again. We spent more time in line than we did in the actual club. With the variety of nightlife available in Vegas, Baby's is low on my must go to again list.
