This is the only cinema that shows proper trash films such as all of those made by Ed Wood. And it started doing so long before Tim Burton took interest in the crude producer. Fifties science fiction, vampire films and other culturally interesting films also find an outlet here.

The cinema's interior is as eclectic as the films screened - everything is home made and interested parties have to make their way to a backyard in Kleinhühnigen first. The 'Neues Kino' is ambitious and interesting and unknown masterpieces can be discovered here on a regular basis. Come here and you will certainly be one step ahead of the general public!

Special nights are also held when, for example, all of episodes of Lars von Trier's 'Hospital' series are shown and on these occasions the cinema bar is especially busy.

In the summer there is also an open-air screen. Film fans can watch the action from a silo terrace near the Rhine Harbour.
