Description
Set in a Grade II listed building, the theatre is just a two-minute walk from Central Station. Originally built in 1913 by the Crane Brothers – former owners of the largest music shop in the North - the spectacular Edwardian interior is a classic example of theatre design. Hosting the well-known Neptune Comedy Club, comedians who have performed here include Eddie Izzard, Steve Coogan, Julian Clary and Rory Bremner. The annual pantomime performance is always very popular. The theatre is situated on a second floor and wheelchair access is not possible. Performances normally commence at 8pm.
