Mercury Room seems to be one of THE places to go right now in the bustling downtown Houston area. The rumor that this is the place where celebrities go when they are in town, draws many people here......Great live bands and dance music..... the drinks are a little more than other clubs $4.50 for domestic beer and about $6.00 for mixed drinks, but that's probably to help them pay for the huge two-story, warehouse-type set-up, the people that work the three bars inside, and the popular bands that frequent there.
If you don't mind rubbing elbows with strangers, make your way to the dance floor......or sit on one of the couches nearby......But get there EARLY for a nice seat!...
