Erottaja is a social spot and definately one of the most striking interiors in Helsinki. The walls and ceilings are brick painted a strong, blue-green colour. The other theme is brushed steel. Looks good on the bathroom door, opening them is a trick, though. Tables are cozy, lights are low over the tables... The light, warm in contrast to the cool srrong colours, casts warm glows on faces.
I've met friends here countless times, and as more people come in it gets more and more crowded. In summer there is a small terrace on the Rikhardinkatu street, where you can clamber in and out through the large windows.
Prices are ok, not too bad, typical city bar prices. Nice that they have a selection of Finnish ciders (cider is becoming more and more popular these years).
Last time, as I left, I heard Finnish girls talking with an English guy, who was saying how much more he likes Helsinki than Plymouth!
