Very nice enviroment. We liked the slot machines and local club to dance or sing karoake. We also like the helpful staff in the casino. We had lots of questions about what to do in the hotel and in the area.

Out of all the casinos in Las Vegas, I mention the Hilton because we did spend a bit of time in both the casino and their very large convention hall, where we had booked reservations to see the superstar of the era - ELVIS. That might not seem much to someone who was not a fan, but we were totally stunned to learn he was entertaining in Las Vegas. This has got to be one of the most exciting nights of my life (don't laugh!). I have been to Las Vegas before and since, but have never been to a performance to equal that of the one we saw that special night in the Hilton hotel. We stood in the long line, curved around the casino floor, for at least an hour. Our wait was not in vain! Because of a wonderful cab driver, who told us who we should tip to get a good seat (the person who would walk us to our seat), we got incredible seats, almost dead center, and about 10 seats back from the stage. There are plenty of wonderful live shows in Las Vegas. Make that a priority, if you are lucky enough to get to Las Vegas, and you love live concerts. You might not get another chance!

The performer that we chose was the headliner at the Hilton, where we were staying. It was convenient not to have to leave the hotel after an active day, and we had coupons for a reduced price. There are lots of ways to get reduced prices for shows. We remembered her hits ("My Baby Takes the Morning Train" and "For Your Eyes Only") and really enjoyed her show. We had excellent seats. Sometimes the music was slightly loud for me, but she had a very good act, and she was also a personable performer- the kind of person you think you'd like to get to know. It was really the luck of the draw as to who was playing where we stayed, and we were not disappointed that she was there when we were. Most hotels have their headliners and the acts you can see are practically unlimited. If you like shows, Vegas has them.
