La Mex

My boyfriend and I went to La Mex for a late dinner date because of its convenient location and our previous experience in past years. We took seats in the bar area and ordered fajitas and drinks. We were enjoying ourselves until a very loud man at bar continued to swear, walk around the room asking for lap dances from the waitresses, and call people "fags" until my boyfriend asked him to please lower his tone. The man was vulgar and upsetting to the whole room and made the atmosphere uncomfortable to everyone present. Instead of controlling the situation, the bar staff offered us a seat in a "nice quite cave area": asking us to move our food and drinks farther away from the loud and offensive man. I was extremely disappointed that a bar/restaurant would allow a patron to clear a whole room with outrageous behavior and overtly offensive and loud ranting. Apparently that is acceptable fare on a Thursday night at La Mex. My money was not well spent there (although I tipped 30% out of pity for the poor waitstaff). If you cannot kick out the kind of butt heads that clear a room, why would you be surprised no one wants to spend money at your establishment. I won't be back~ Sorry La Mex.
