Despite the stark fluorescent lighting, the Kiwi Bakery does a roaring lunchtime trade with expats in search of a sausage roll or chicken sandwich. Reminiscent of a country bakery in Australia or New Zealand, it stocks all the usual suspects from lamingtons (a small chocolate sponge cake) to apple strudels as well as a selection of savory pastries. Better to go earlier in the day than later--when the cakes are a bit fresher.
