Description
The Island Cinema was formerly a theatre that staged plays, recitals, etc., but in recent times has been converted to a movie cinema. It has one screen that can be accessed through the Island Life Shopping Centre in the New Kingston area. Normally, American movies are shown, but on occasions it also hosts film festivals. The festivals feature European movies hosted by the European Union office based in Jamaica. There are usually four showings per day. Admission: adults JMD250, children under 12: JMD120; two for one at early show Mondays.
