Description

Originally a hotel, the Hanover is now a traditional pub serving food and beverages. A family friendly place by day, it takes on a chameleon-like character during the evening hours. It is a popular venue for live bands; Monday is punk night and Indies night takes place on a Tuesday when three or four bands take part in the Battle of the Bands. The winning bands perform at the Royal Court Theatre for the big prize. Thursday sees blues and jam sessions that can feature some big names on tour, such as Chris Farlowe and Nine Below Zero. More live music on Friday, while Saturday is the night for disco lovers.
